Desparate!!

Mon Nov 2, 2009, 7:03 AM
Please read?

Okay. I have absolutely have no clue how you people do it! I haven't been able to post anything in forever! I haven't even had time to draw anything. How do you guys that go to school and have a job still get artwork done? I would love it if you guys could help me out here. Yeah i have time to sketch something from time to time but nothing that is really that much more than cool doodles.

On a happier note,
I hopped on my 5 yr old Appaloosa a few days ago without a halter or anything on her. I had been on her a couple of times last year, but i hadn't really riden her till this spring/summer. I have been trying to get her to respond to leg and voice commands more than rein. She would be considered a well "green broke" horse. Anyway, I jumped on Sierra and asked her to walk forward and she did. I asked her to stop, but she didn't! I was like, 'Are you serious?!' I knew she knew what i wanted her to do because i had been working with her big time on stopping. I asked again and she tossed her head at me. I leaned forward and reached around the front of her neck and laid my hand across the front of her neck and put pressure there when i asked her to stop again. She did (thank heavens). She was like, "Holy crow! You can do that?! But but but, there ins't anything on my head!" It was pretty funny when she turned around and looked at me like that. after that it was really cool because she would turn, stop, trot, go slower or faster, and all with out anything on her cept me! I was sooooooo excited! After i hopped off i said thank you to her and petted her extra long and gave her a treat. I love Sierra.

sad sad day...

Thu Dec 4, 2008, 6:56 PM
*sigh* Rough week so far. Kay, here's the story. I think I can finally type it with out crying. This Sunday my dad and I went up north around Remus and went hunting, (and I'm am very sry if that offends you) and my mom called at about 11am. She tells my dad that Joker is down in the field and can't get back up. First, before I go on, I should probably explain just who Joker is. When i was four or five, my dad got our first horse. He was a 16ish hand Appaloosa. He was an awesome horse. you could put a 2yr old on him and he'd just stand there or follow my dad around the areana. He'd never buck or kick or throw a fit or anything. This one time, and i'm not exagerating, this 3 inch long horse fly landed on him and was biting him. He just stopped and started trembling and wouldn't move. Dad yelled at him because he thought that Joker was being stubborn. So joker swung his butt at daad (and for those of you that don't know that much abouthorses, that's a really bad thing for them to do). dad finally figured out what the problem was. But my point is that most horses would have thrown a holy fit if that happened to them. So basically i think i'm trying to say that he was a gentle giant. You could do anything to that horse and he'd just stand there and look at you like you were an idiot.

So mom calls and tells dad that and dad told me. Of course I immediately start balling. We left early and still didn't get home till 11 pm. so Joker's been down for a little over twelve hours. And for those of you that are horse people, you know that after a while a horse can't breathe when it's been on it's side to long. A couple of hours before we left Remus, mom had said that he had stopped eating and that he was just lying peacefully. Well, that all changed by the time we got there. Mom was crying when we pulled in the driveway. i gave her a hug and asked "Is he already..." and she said no, but by the way she said it i knew something was wrong. I get over to were he's at as fast as possible and my heart practically stopped. It was bad. I hope you people EVER have to see an animal go like that. He was thrashing he was jerking his head back and forth across the groud and snapping at the air cuz he was hurting so bad. dad and i talked to him for like, a minute, then i couldn't take it anymore and i TOLD dad that he had to put him down. i TOLD HIM TO! and for those of you that know me, you know that's practically impossible for me to do. but that's how bad he was. damn, i'm starting to cry again. crap i didn't want to do this. dad told me to go inside and he got his gun. you know the rest.

Joker was 18 years old and still trying his hardest to please us and take care of Sierra, another one of our horses.

i didn't get anysleep sunday night, monday night, or tuesday night. i finally slept like a rock last night and didn't have any nightmares, so i'm kinda dreading tonight. i know pretty wussy huh? but that's all for now. i gotta go. love you guys, and i really REALLY hopes Joker forgives me for telling dad to do it. Dog? anyone?

Wed Sep 24, 2008, 5:38 PM
Kay... sad sad story. I'm getting rid of my dog. that sounds so mean. I don't want it to sound mean but it does anyway. I used to have 7 cats (all outdoors) and now i only have 3. 5 of those were kittens. I am now down to 1 kitten and 2 cats. and one of the cats won't hang around with me anymore.
I have a dog. Her name is Cally. She's a beagle/cocker spaniel mix. She's a really sweet dog. She use to not mind the cats. Now... she's killing them all. She's killed Natasha, Trigger, Storm, and Tommy. All between 4 months and 1 month. So it's either give her any to someone who likes dogs better n' cats or keep her and let her kill the rest of my cats and any other cat i get.
So! To the point of this whole emo-ish journal (sry 4 the emo) do any of you know anyone who would like a good watch dog? She's not very big, but she barks at strangers, while she's backing away from them.
if you know ANYONE plz plz plz plz PLZ tell me! i'm getting desperate...
